Food, drink and alcohol
Mounjaro’s and Wegovy’s leaflets say they make you feel less hungry, and pair them with a reduced-calorie diet and more activity. The NHS says you’ll need a healthy, balanced diet, and that it’s best not to drink alcohol, as it can increase feeling or being sick.

Meals and drinks
With or without food
Mounjaro, Zepbound, Wegovy and Ozempic can each be injected at any time, with or without food, their leaflets and label say.
Tablets are different
Rybelsus’s leaflet says fast at least 8 hours first, then wait at least 30 minutes before food, drink or oral medicines.
Alcohol
The NHS says it’s best not to drink alcohol while you use it, as it can increase side effects like feeling or being sick.
Fluids when you’re sick
If you’re sick or have diarrhoea, Mounjaro’s, Wegovy’s and Ozempic’s leaflets say drink fluids to prevent dehydration.
